It was only a century later, in 1638, that the palace was finally a casino. Here, opulent paintings, magnificent sculptures, and glittering chandeliers await visitors. Besides, many ceilings of the building have elaborate murals by the famous Baroque master Mattia Bortoloni.

It had to be completely renovated and rebuilt several times due to three different fires in 1807, 1909, and 1917.
